Help, Here is a guy i like and he works with me and i text him all the time to say hey and just chat like that

But i just don't understand he talks to me like he likes me and all and when i asked him if he did it took him a while to text back. and then i ask if he would ever date me and he said he just wants to be single. What do i do bec i really like him and he told me that he don't want to be tied down. what do i do.
