Why have these people only just started supporting Stoke City?

That was exactly the same at Wigan, a few years ago when they were in the lower divisions they had a modest amount of supporters, but now they are in the premier league, ll these so called fans are popping up all over everywhere claiming to be lifelong Wigan fans.
