First Time Mommy ♥ How Would The Doctor Really Know..?

I took my baby to her 2 weeks appt and her pediatrician told me my newborn should be eating every 3-4 hours and if she cries just to give her the pacifier, but as im sure you know that wont hold a baby for more than 1 minute.. she waits about 2 1/2-3 hours, is that too much for her to be eating..?
