What Happens After I Shoot The Bad Guy In A Self Defense Situation?

I got my Texas Conceal Carry license 2 months ago and I conceal my Glock 22 in a Galco N3 IWB holster. I walk around with it and I have it loaded with 135 grain Glaser Pow'R'ball rounds in it. If I ever had to protect my life outside my home in the street, or within my home, or within my car.......what happens after I shoot the bad guy in a self defense situation?
