Me and my friend both like the same guy?

My friend has this mive crush on this guy from my school. she dreams about marrying him and is really immature about it. she has never actually spoken and everytime she has a chance she just stutters and nothing comes out. Its more of a crush u have on celebreties you like them bet never actually met him. At the start of the year me and him joined the same athletics club. We are now really close and he asked me out to the movies because he told me he really likes me. I told my friends about it and now my friend will not talk to me because she said she likes him and how could i do that. Its so stupid because shes never even spoken 2 him ever before . I dont know what to do because i dont want 2 loose her as a friend but i dont want 2 get rid of this guy for her when she has never even had anything to do with himn
